Namatsuru Kimoto Tokubetsu Junmai Genshu

Respecting the brewing techniques of yesterday to bring you sake you will love today.

Manatsuru is a collaboration with the Tanaka Sake Brewery of Miyagi Prefecture. “Tsuru” is the Japanese world for crane – they have long had connotations of long life, friendship and good fortune. This sake uses the traditional kimoto brewing technique in pursuit of a more flavourful, characterful sake that is excellent for food pairing.

Staff comments

Most people might not think of drinking a Kimoto in the summertime, but this sake’s high acidity makes it perfect for just that. Refreshing acidity is accompanied by tropical fruit aromas with a crisp finish. Perfect with rich or oily dishes, cleansing the palate. Try with eggplant tempura, fish and vegetable broth and classic summer dishes.
